Rupert Everett Then
Rupert Everett won a BAFTA for his debut performance as Julian Mitchell in Another Nation in 1984. In a 1930s English school, he played an openly gay student. He was known for playing bad boys in the 1980s and 1990s, and his smoldering good looks helped him land film roles. With his song Generation of Loneliness, Everett attempted (unsuccessfully) to turn his celebrity into a pop star career. But it was too late; the audience still thought of him as a fantastic performer, and his artistic efforts were largely overlooked. In 1997, he won his second BAFTA and his first Golden Globe for his performance in My Best Friend’s Wedding.
Rupert Everett Now
Rupert’s current appearance is acceptable because he no longer resembles the rosy-cheeked child who once starred in movies. However, he continues to act in the same manner as before. He appeared in Tim Burton’s Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children, as well as the Shrek movies and the Chronicles of Narnia. He’s also written fiction, having written two memoirs and a novel. He’s spoken out on a variety of political and social issues, including the decriminalization of prostitution and same-sex marriage. Clearly, this new Renaissance man has always been more than meets the eye.
