Bilie and Peggy had no solutions or plans for their difficulties, thus they had no answers to their questions. They had both decided to serve their country, and the government had now summoned them to report for service. They were both in agreement that the army commitment took precedence over the marital oath they had sworn. They were struck with the hard truth of the situation and realized that they would have to abandon their plans to start a family in order to fulfill their duties to others.
