It’s Time To Go Fishing!
After arriving at the appropriate location, the team shut off the boat’s motor and allowed it to lie idle for a while. The location they used was dependable, and there were always a large number of crabs there. Afterwards, they let go of their lines, allowing the cages to drag along the seafloor. Unfortunately, the crab season was drawing to a close at the time of writing. They were hopeful that this week would be the best and most fruitful of the season, given the tremendous hauls they had seen in the previous weeks. After already having their most successful year to date, they were hopeful that this catch would be their most successful yet.
A Good First Haul
The cages were now securely planted in the water and required two people to keep an eye on them to make sure they didn’t become entangled in one another. The one who remained would remain on board and steer the boat. By this point, it had become a regular practice that they were well familiar with. Eventually, the first cages were brought back up, and they were overjoyed! After confirming that the location was still reliable, they were well on their way to finishing the day on the right foot. As the cages were being emptied and they were preparing themselves to go again, high-fives were being exchanged.
