Janis Joplin also attended the Woodstock concert. She got compensated $7,500 for her efforts! The majority of people recall her appearance because of her performance of “Piece of My Heart” She also sang some other songs on the second day of the festival, in addition to this one. The entire band was flown into the arena via helicopter. The other band members recall her telling them to treat each subsequent gig as if it were the first. She stayed at Woodstock after the concert to engage in the festival’s final activities with the other participants.

A Surprise John Sebastian Set
Even though John Sebastian’s appearance at Woodstock was unplanned, it is remembered as a memorable occasion. He went there solely to watch the festivals, but he consented to play an acoustic guitar concert after the event organizers invited him to do so. He performed three previously unreleased tracks in addition to the two previously performed. What a powerful symbol they are!
