Stapler Plates
The metal plate on the stapler is referred to as the anvil in this context. Turning the stapler upside down and turning the wheel will activate the “temporary staple” mode on the stapler. This allows you to staple papers together while keeping your arms pulled outward. The difference between this and the standard setting is that it is much easier to remove the staple in this case.
