It Scared Milly
Milly was originally afraid to approach whatever this beast was. It may be dangerous because she had never seen it before. Milly realized that simply turning back and leaving was the best option. Not taking any unnecessary risks. Milly attempted to do so, but something within her stopped her. She couldn’t stop herself from getting closer as her curiosity rose by the second. She needed to know what kind of creature it was.

Going closer, however, did not allow her to identify the animal. All she could think of was that it looked like a lizard, yet in all the years she had spent walking through this forest, she had never seen a lizard of any kind. That made sense because the environment here was unsuitable for huge lizards. Milly had previously learned it from her father, and it immediately made her concerned about the animal. Maybe it wouldn’t last long out here.
