The Wheel Track
It is quite impressive to hear that the Wheel Track can morph in less than two seconds, given how fast it can go. This can even occur while the vehicle is in motion as it transitions from circular wheels to triangular wheels. Development of the project was funded by the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency and carried out by the National Robotics Engineering Center at Carnegie Mellon University. In 2018, it was named the winner of the Best of What’s New category at the Popular Science Awards in the United Kingdom.
