When Milly returned home, her parents were pleased. Even if that was the plan, it is never easy for parents to be unsure of where their 9-year-old daughter is for an extended period of time. She’d been gone for a long time. They inquired about Milly’s day and whether she had come across anything strange. Milly hesitated a lot before telling her parents about the lizard in her backpack. Although she sincerely wished their feedback, she was aware that bringing an unfamiliar animal home would most likely annoy them.

For the time being, she decided to keep the black lizard a secret from her parents. It would probably be best if she got a little more knowledge on the issue on her own before seeking aid and advice. She merely smiled and told her parents that, while she had a fantastic day, she was now really tired and wished to spend some time relaxing in her room. They were completely fine with that because they had a lot of work to do themselves.
