Milly was at her most worried right now. She was well aware that this was a make-or-break situation in which she would have to convince her cautious mother that she had made the correct decision in bringing the creature home and that they needed to treat it right now.

As she examined Milly, Anastacia gave her a serious look. “Well? “Are you going to tell me what’s going on here?” Milly began to explain, after swallowing her concerns, that she had saved the unlucky animal since it would have died if she had left it in the jungle. Despite the fact that she was aware that this was not entirely true, she asserted that she had handled the situation with considerable prudence.
