Although Milly was nervous, she knew she had to tell her parents about the Lizard. She expected them to be angry with her for keeping this a secret from them for so long, but if they could help her care for the animal or even take it to the veterinarian on her behalf, it would be worth it. She then entered the living room, frightened and clutching the terrarium.

Anastacia was engrossed in the kitchen when Milly came downstairs, and she didn’t notice what her daughter was clutching. Michael was still at work at the time. She grinned and quickly turned off the heat on one of the boiling pots before returning her attention to her kid. However, as she observed what Milly was holding in her palm, the joy on her face vanished. And what about that old fish tank they kept in the attic?
