Boeing KC-135 Stratotanker
Strategic bombers are notoriously difficult to refuel in normal circumstances. Fortunately, the KC-135 Stratotanker, which saw extensive service during the Vietnam War, has it easier on its hands. It proved to be a valuable weapon for the Americans during Operation Desert Storm in 1991. This aircraft was a pioneer in that it was the United States Air Force’s first jet-powered refueling tanker.

NASA Super Guppy
Later on, this aircraft was assigned to the role of replacement for the Pregnant Guppy. Aero Spacelines’ first aircraft, the NASA Super Guppy, was designed in collaboration with NASA. It is not difficult to deduce that it was designed for transporting cargo. Both varieties of the Super Guppy were equipped with five aircraft apiece, and they were available in either red or blue. Despite the passage of time, all of them remain in use.
