The Lockheed P-80 Shooting Star brought a plethora of advances to the United States Air Forces. The new planes didn’t have propellers, and they handled things differently than previous planes. Only roughly 1,700 P-80s were produced, but the T-Bird, which sold 7,000 units worldwide, was more suited to the military market.
